With the announcement of $10 a day child care for Manitoba some of our families may have questions on what this means for your family. Effective April 2, 2023 fees for the infant and preschool children of Universal Day Care Centre Inc will be reduced to $10/ day provided hours are between 4-10 hours per day (which is the norm for all our families at this time). For half time (K only) fees are $5/day and for care over 10 hours/ day (not recommended) is $15/ day. For families who are currently subsidized, the province will be reassessing the subsidy. They have stated they will NOT increase the amount of subsidy for families who are paying less than $10.
